Do you ever take time to rest? I mean really rest? As leaders I know that we spend a ton of time burning it at both ends and if you are like me, you push yourself until the idea of rest is just one more thing to do! Today I worked a golf tournament as part of my board member respoibsibilities for my local chamber of commerce and I thought to myself….I wish I had some bubbles, I would sit here and blow bubbles for the golfers so they could have a fun moment and laugh like kids. I didn’t have any bubbles but I do have a great picture of bubbles (and a baby in a lavender field, what could be more relaxing) to share so hopefully that sets the mood for you for the weekend.
The Bible is clear about rest. Find rest, oh my soul, in God alone. Psalm 62:5. The past few weeks have been very taxing and emotional on my family; personally and professionally.
